For a change of scenery..

I'm fond of my little great grand cousins. :-). They brought joy during my mother's funeral. Was that just 3 years ago?

For a change of scenery ...

an 'oops' moment in Central Park on Thanksgiving Day

..but who would expect to row into a tree in the middle of the lake?

Anyway, there's never a dull moment in NYC ...
Later that evening while walking down
7th and passing the Fashion Institute of Technology
a naked man came running down the side walk.
We, that is my husband, sons, cousin and her spouse
thought he was perhaps trying to make a fashion statement.
A bit further down the road we found neatly folded clothes
on the sidewalk.

..

On driving with the 15 year old......

Granted, he's really just started out....

But so far, he's failed to stop at a stop sign. This is after I got tired of him telling me 'I know, mom' (in that voice) when I alerted him to other stop signs. Yesterday, he turned right when I told him to turn left and then almost drove me into a ditch....

Other then that, he's really doing pretty good...

And my nerves are holding up a lot better ... sort of ... then with my first son..... who ran a stop sign and then turned left after I told him to stop at the stop sign and turn right. He proceeded to nearly run over a post office mailbox after that. My husband took over driving with the firstborn after that experience.

PS: the first son at 21 is now an excellent driver.

PSS: but just wondering .. would somebody care to take over with the 2nd son?

We had been on the road for a bit and I was getting carsick.
Stopping here at this old cemetery provided a much welcome respite.
The air was fresh, breezy and I thankfully sank to the ground...
